All quiet on the Manson Front

It’s been a hectic few weeks around these parts, and in truth I haven’t had much noteworthy to say. Hence the lack of posting. The comic is obviously still chugging along, I’m keeping the spam pruned back, and when I feel like there’s something worth saying I’ll say it.

Raelians want women to show their tits.

And on this we can agree. Because titties are nifty, or at least I’ve always thought so. However on every other possible subject, including their constant bullshit about cloning, “intelligent design for atheists” claims, and their veneration of Dokken roadies, Raelians should quit spanking it to Close Encounters of the Third Kind, seek psychological help [...]

Not that I needed an excuse

But apparently I need to spend more time scouring the interweb as a hotel near Venice, that would be Italy and not California, heathens; the general region being known as the Veneto, but I didn’t want to leave any of the class behind struggling for dictionaries; recently had a bit of a boo-boo, and offered a [...]

I wons a contest!

Actually I tied in a contest, but that doesn’t make for as catchy a title. The folks over at A.N.A. Comics hosted a “design a character” contest over on their forum. I was actually late to the party, but they let me sneak an entry in under the wire. So I came up with Doctor [...]

I wrote this back in March

It’s a PSA designed to discourage kids from wanting to join the ranks of the walking dead. It’s been sitting around the hard drive since then,  so I decided to share it with you.

The scene comes up on a distinguished looking gentleman standing in an innocuously domestic setting.
MAN
Hi, kids, I’m John Stone: you might remember [...]

Damn you for making me nostalgic, Wil Wheaton!

I read Wil Wheaton’s blog. Today he posted a YouTube video of an old McDonald’s commercial advertising Star Trek happy meals: WWdN: In Exile: Q’Plah!
I don’t really care about the commercial. Yes, it was mildly amusing, but since if it did indeed run in 1979 I would have been at most a year old it’s [...]

A reason why the zombie apocalypse is impractical

In which our friend the maggot saves humanity.

Warren Ellis’ “FreakAngels”

So I finally started reading FreakAngels this morning. So far it’s not bad, perhaps it’s even good, but I’ve yet to decide if I like it. So far with Paul Duffield’s art one minute I’ll be rather blah about it, then he’ll bust out something impressive, and then I’m blah again; it’s not that it’s bad [...]

According to Google the honeymoon is pretty much over.

I use Google Analytics, along with various other bits and bobs to try and get a general idea of how much traffic the strip is seeing, what pages people are viewing etc. (Which is how I know far more people view the strip than look at the blog.) As I mentioned in the last post [...]

Apparently I’m to be beaten publicly

For having misspelled squarely in the post from July 3rd. Ah well, these things happen.
And no, there’s been no real news to report, other than a disheartening drop in traffic the last few days, hence the lack of posts.
